Public speaking experience

I have performed readings and public speaking with Q & A at colleges, universities, high schools, libraries, arts centers, literary festivals, conferences, panels, bookstores, coffee shops and bars, on radio, and cable television.

I am frequently invited to perfom in a dual role at colleges and universities (particularly for writing programs) as both poet and publisher. Typically, I perform a reading from my books (WE, Event Boundaries, Anxious Music) and give a talk or visit a class to speak on a variety of topics:

• Getting published
• Careers for writers
• How I came to be a publisher
• How being a poetry editor affects my poetry writing
• Manuscript ordering
  
• Teaching demonstrations of the "Ossmann Method" workshop

Individual meetings

I also sometimes perform brief one-on-one meetings with MFA students to advise them about getting published.
